Our project-based programs will have you in real-world environments, recording and mixing in your first year.
The Associate of Applied Science degree in Recording Arts will provide you with the foundation to capture, create, mix, and manipulate audio. You'll study sound design, music engineering, live event production, and audio post-production— skills that will help you build a career in this high-volume industry.
The Recording Arts department at Flashpoint boasts an impressive collection of audio facilities and gear available for student use. Highlights include a professional music recording studio, high-tech audio post-production suites with Foley pit, synthesis suite, audio mini-suites,and a world-class collection of software (including ProTools, McDSP, iZotope, and more), microphones, and preamps. Students also have access to Studio 505, featuring cameras, lights and audio equipment - the ideal setting to produce music performances.
